Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
Weekends ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by Stella Industries. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the Weekends app, why we collect it, and how it is used.
1. Data We Collect
- Account information — email address and username when you register.
- Location — your device's GPS coordinates when you use the app to find nearby events. Location is only accessed while the app is in use and is never stored on our servers.
- Push notification token — a device token used to send you event notifications. You can disable this in your device settings at any time.
- Event interactions — likes, dislikes, and watch flags you set on events.
- Content you create — event details and photos uploaded by business accounts.
- Advertising identifiers — with your consent, a device advertising identifier (such as Apple's IDFA) is shared with our advertising partner to show and measure ads.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To create and manage your account.
- To show you events near your current location.
- To send push notifications about events you follow (if enabled).
- To allow business accounts to create and manage events.
- To show ads in the app and, where you've given consent, personalize them.
We do not sell your data.
3. Third-Party Services
- Mapbox — used to render maps and geocode locations. Your location may be transmitted to Mapbox to display the map. See Mapbox's privacy policy.
- Apple / Google — if you sign in using Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique user identifier and, on first sign-in only, your name and email address from those providers.
- Expo / Apple Push Notification Service / Firebase Cloud Messaging — used to deliver push notifications.
- Google AdMob — used to show ads in the app. AdMob may collect device identifiers, approximate location, and app usage data to serve and measure ads. On iOS, we only share your advertising identifier if you grant permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt; for users in the EEA/UK, we first ask for consent through a dedicated dialog. You can withdraw consent at any time in your device's privacy settings. See Google's privacy policy.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights or to request account deletion, contact us at the email below.
If you are located in the European Union, you also have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
6. Children
Weekends is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
